Kings Park Psychiatric Center - Kings Park, NY
The top floor of Building 22 housed patients ordered into psychiatric care by the courts and into the custody of the Sheriff’s Department. Newly admitted patients were housed here until they were discharged or until a more permanent residence at the hospital was determined. Patients would spend a majority of their free time in rooms such as this.
